Located near Zolder, Belgium, close to the renowned Zolder race track, the company boasts a legacy of excellence in the motorsports industry. Over the decades, we have celebrated numerous victories in the GT1 World Series, GT3, and prototype classes, including being two-time winners of the 24 Hours of Zolder.
Today, HERONsports specializes in the design and development of safety-critical automotive subsystems.
Our expertise extends to in-house design and development while also supporting Tier 1 suppliers in advancing market-leading innovations in both product and process design.
HERONsports contributes to the GEN1200 project by designing and developing safety-critical subsystems. These include innovative steering, suspension, and braking systems, along with advanced high-voltage E/E power electronics. We leverage competencies developed in prior European projects such as SmartCorners to drive further innovation in these areas.
HERONsports serves as the coordinator for Work Package 5 of the GEN1200 project. This work package focuses on developing an optimized 1200V e-axle and ensuring seamless vehicle system operations. Our efforts aim to achieve cutting-edge advancements in electric vehicle technology, driving performance, and high-voltage safety.
